It’s WIP Wednesday again! Time to look at what’s happening around Fluffy Tails Handspun. I’m excited about this week!
First up, a blocking infinity scarf. It’s a gorgeous wool & silk blend that a friend carded for me. The base is a light gray. She blended some hot pink wool into it and lots of silk nubs and sari silk threads. Once spun, this made for a very pretty yarn, full of texture and color! It’s been knit on big needles in a basic stitch to show off this fantastic yarn. It’ll get a photo shoot tomorrow or the next day and will be up in the etsy store shortly after that!
Next up is a fun, felted bag. This just came out of the wash a few days ago. It’s just about dry and then I need to sew a lining. There’s still some stitch definition so I may decide to full it a little more before listing it. It’s a pretty bright red that shows pink in sunlight. Originally knit out of 100% wool from local sheep that I have processed straight from the original fleece.
The newest WIP in the pile is this fun one. It’s a wool handspun in shades of blue with a hint of chocolate brown. That’s been plied with a white cotton thread. It’s going to turn into a pretty lacey, squishy cowl, just perfect for fall. It’s still hot, hot, hot outside but I know fall is coming and this will be perfect once the weather cools off!
Last is still a pile of fluff. Today, this wool blend will be going on the spinning wheel. It will likely turn into a warm & snuggly hat after its date with the wheel.
